Do you always need to be doing something?
Do you have the “always need to be doing something” syndrome? I know I do! If this sounds like you, then it is time for you to take some time out and take a spa day at home. You may wonder how you can accomplish this without going to a day spa, but trust me, it can happen. All it takes is some dedication to an extraordinary person, and that happens to be YOU. So, sit back and relax and read how you can tune into your body and enjoy some relaxation. Your body will thank YOU.
Benefits of a spa day at home
There are numerous benefits to creating a day spa in your home! One of the best services is that you don’t have to go anywhere and you can create it in the comforts of your own home. Of course, this also makes it super convenient during pandemic times! I will list some tools that you will need; however, it is not required to have all of them. If you have only a few of what is listed, then that should be sufficient. The important thing about having a spa day is that you need to incorporate mindfulness. In other words, you need to put yourself in the present and be appreciative of each intervention you give yourself.
Let’s dive into some of the tools now!
#1 Meditation
The first one I want to mention is meditation. Overall, meditation is probably one of the most important methods to use for an effective spa day at home. If you don’t incorporate this tool, you will miss out on one of the juicy benefits of healing. Meditation is like receiving a daily vitamin without having to take one! It is so easy too, all you need is to take out at least 5-10 minutes of your day. If you would like to read more about meditation, please refer to my article Five reasons why meditation heals your body.
I would recommend doing meditation last after you have done some of the other detox methods listed below (such as sauna or Epsom salt bath. The reason why is because after your detox, you will feel more clear mentally, and it will allow you to go much deeper with the meditation.
Put on healing music when you meditate.
When you meditate, you could choose to have it quiet or place on healing music, such as Solfeggio Frequencies. It is up to you, but I must tell you that I love to meditate with music because it allows me to get into the zone more comfortable. If you aren’t sure where to go for meditation music, I would suggest going to the Meditative Mind, which you can find on youtube or Spotify.
There have been plenty of studies that suggest the benefits of music when you meditate, especially music with a frequency. Solfeggio frequencies are also known as sound healing for your body. Each Solfeggio tone has a frequency required to balance your energy and keep your body, mind, and spirit in perfect harmony 1.
#2 Essential oils and chakra stones
Essential oils and chakra stones are always great tools for helping you have a fabulous spa day and relax. They are not only good for rejuvenation but are also useful for clearing your energies and opening up your chakras. Each essential oil and stone is designed to be tailored to helping to open specific chakras. For example, if your root chakra is blocked, you would choose a particular stone and essential oil to open up that particular chakra. If you want to learn more about the chakras and what you would need to help open each one up, please go to my podcast series called Keto and Chakra balance for your health.
Learning to balance your chakras is an integral goal in your wellness journey. Chakras are little energy centers in your body that tie into your physical functioning. For instance, if your root chakra is off and you feel like your life is unstable, you may develop certain diseases that correspond to that chakra. For one example, if you have chronic root chakra instability, you can develop anal cancer.
Soon, I hope to feature pendants and bracelets with chakra stones on the blog to help with chakra opening. You need every tool that you can get to help open up those little energy centers! Stay tuned!
#3 A sauna
A sauna is my favorite way to have an in home day spa! I use mine every day, and it feels like I have a spa right in my home. I highly recommend for you to purchase one. Now, you may be saying, ” A sauna is just too expensive, and I don’t have enough space in my home.” Don’t worry; there are ways to go around this! Nowadays, you can finance saunas, and if you want a small one, you could even find some around $1,000-2,000.00. If this still seems like a lot to you, look into purchasing a Photon from SaunaSpace for about $350.00. It even has the SaunaSpace red-filtered incandescent light with ThermaLight™ technology. It also has the full-spectrum of regenerative and detox wavelengths.
If you want to go all out, then look into getting a full-size sauna. Saunaspace also has larger saunas, such as the Faraday or Luminati.
Sauna for perfect detox tool and to help heal cancer
A sauna is a perfect method for detoxing! If you have been struggling with acne or chronic fatigue, then a sauna could help out a lot. I am not sure if you realize this or not, but you are giving your liver a break when you passively sweat through sauna therapy. Ever since I have started using mine, I have noticed that my skin is clearer, my chronic fatigue is improved, and I sleep better. I highly encourage you to purchase one if you are suffering from any chronic issues.
A sauna can even help you heal if you are battling cancer. Recently, I read an excellent book called, The Cancer Revolution by Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy. In this publication, she talks about using an infrared sauna for helping to treat cancer. She says that sauna therapy can cleanse and detoxify your body of difficult-to-remove toxins, such as pesticides, PCBs, drug residues, acidic wastes, and heavy metals. It also can stimulate your immune system and improve your cardiovascular and pulmonary function, which will help to resolve inflammation and edema2.

#4- Make an Epsom salt bath
If you are looking for a relaxing way to pull toxins away from your skin, then look no further than an Epsom salt bath. It is so soothing and great for detoxing your body! All you do is go to a local drug or grocery store and purchase! There are many different brands that I like; I think my favorite is Dr. Teal’s.
All you do is put on some calming music in the background and maybe even a few candles. Next, draw a nice warm bath and add a 1/2 cup (or more if you desire) of Epsom salt. I usually like to sit in the tub for about 10-15 minutes.
#5- Purchase a Chilipad for your bed
If you’re looking to get a calming, warm meditation experience, look to purchasing a Chilipad for your bed. A Chilipad is not only useful for providing you with a pleasant cool body temperature for sleep, but it also can make your bed nice and warm. What a great feature for the winter! I can’t tell you how relaxing it is to get into a warm bed during wintertime. What I do is I crank my Chilipad up to 110 degrees when it is cold outside, and then when I get in the bed, I bump it back down to a cool temperature for bedtime.
Why is it useful to have a Chilipad?
The main reason why you would want to purchase a Chilipad is to cool your body during your sleep. When you have a cool, core body temperature at night it will allow you to get into a deeper sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), the suggested ideal temperature for sleep is somewhere between 15.5 degrees C (60 degrees F) and 19.4 degrees C (67 degrees F). This temperature is perfect not only to initiate sleep but to sustain your snooze time 3.
Choose a keto diet to help maximize your benefits for a spa day.
When you choose to follow a keto diet, you will drastically improve your overall mental well-being. When I am pursuing a keto diet, I have found that it enables me to have a better outlook on life and improve my self-esteem. I have found that a keto diet helps me to improve my meditation experience and allows me to have more enjoyment out of a spa day at home! If you want to find out more information on keto and chakra balance, then an excellent place to start would be my Start right here page.
I hope to have my Work with me page up very soon, which will enable personalized consultations with me. If you are on my email list, I hope to provide you a special discount for working with me.
