Say hello to a tasty salad dressing without the guilt
Overall, it can be challenging to find a salad dressing that is both keto-friendly and full of clean, wholesome ingredients. All in all, I think that the best salad dressings are the ones that you can make on your own. The other night, I was making a salad and realized I did not have any dressing in my fridge. Therefore, I then decided to throw a few ingredients together. I went to my pantry and eyeballed all that I had in stock. I pulled out apple cider vinegar, olive oil, onion salt, garlic powder, salt, and stevia. While looking through my spices, I found curry as well. I thought, ” Hmm, this would give it a good flavor as well.”
Now let me tell you, I don’t always keep curry in my pantry, but this time I was delighted that I had it! Herbs like dried coriander (curry) possess antibacterial and antifungal properties that prevent infections from entering the body( can you say potential protection against coronavirus)(1). I mixed all the ingredients, and the result was fabulous! The result was a mixture with a hint of apple and was not too sweet or tangy. I like apple cider vinegar because not only does it taste good, but it also has a lot of beneficial ingredients. One of the best benefits is it is known for antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans(2).
